Cervical Cancer Vaccinations, staying safe for life

Cervical Cancer Vaccinations

The cervical cancer vaccination has been shown to have real benefits for women up to 45 years of age, but not everyone is eligible for the National Cervical Cancer Vaccine Program.

At your next check-up why not discuss your risk with your GP to see if it’s right for you and if so, we’ll give you an 80% benefit on the third vaccine to complete the course.

Australian Unity is pleased to be the first private health fund to pay a benefit for this important vaccination.

And remember, pap tests remain the first line of detection for cervical cancer. Therefore it’s vital that all women aged 18-70 who have ever been sexually active, including those who have been vaccinated, to continue having pap tests every second year in line with Council Australia recommendations.

To claim, just send a copy of the prescription for your third cervical cancer vaccination with a completed claim form to Australian Unity.
